The Xylem Analytics Germany department consists of four locations, which are located in Weilheim, Ingolstadt, Mainz, and Meinsberg.

At our location in Weilheim, we are currently looking for a student or master's research assistant Sensorentwicklung (m/w/d).

The position is part-time and requires regular weekly attendance at the location, so it is essential to live in the surrounding area. We are seeking a student (m/w/d) who will perform various laboratory tasks at our location in the field of sensor technology (chemo- and biosensors), reagents, and standards.

Tasks

• Conducting various experiments and investigations in the field of sensor technology (chemo- and biosensors), reagents, and standards
• Carefully evaluating and documenting the results
• Preliminary preparation of the results for decision-making on whether to continue pursuing the research approach
• Presentation of the results in the R&D circle
• Supporting daily laboratory organization (if necessary)
• Supporting measurements at wastewater treatment plants (if necessary)

Qualification

• Ongoing master's studies in analytical chemistry
• First experience in practical laboratory work
• Outstanding organized, structured, and meticulous working style
• Analytical thinking combined with good communication skills
• Prompt handling of MS Office applications
• Very good German language skills in writing and speaking, as well as good English language skills (desirable)
