Job description

The Berlin Publishing House stands for high-quality journalism and strong media brands in the capital. As part of our holding company, we bundle central financial functions and ensure efficient, transparent processes within our corporate group. To support our team, we are looking for an engaged Student Assistant (m/w/d) in the field of Contract Management, Law & Finance. With us, you will gain exciting insights into the areas of law, contract management, and finance and can apply your theoretical knowledge directly in practice.

Tasks

  • Contract preparation & administration: Support in drafting and finalizing contracts as well as system-based recording and maintenance in our ELO Contact contract management tool.
  • Deadline monitoring: Reliable monitoring of contract periods and deadlines within our digital systems.
  • Digital file management: Responsibility for the digital administration of process files and structured documentation of legal disputes.
  • Financial support & ledger recording: Active support of the finance team in digitally recording and checking incoming invoices via ELO.

Qualification

  • Matriculation: You are a properly enrolled student (m/w/d) of law (Jura/Wirtschaftsrecht), economics (BWL) or a comparable study program.
  • Work style: You stand out with absolute discretion, reliability, and a very structured and numerate work style.
  • IT skills: Familiarity with MS Office (especially Word and Excel). First practical experiences with ELO, ELO Contact, or DATEV are a big plus, but not a must – we'll train you thoroughly!
  • Languages: Very good German language skills in writing and speaking for precise document processing.

Benefits

  • Flexible working hours with up to 20 hours per week during the semester
A thorough onboarding process and the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in contract, law, and finance
  • Working with modern systems like ELO and DATEV
  • A modern office at a central location in Berlin
  • A collegial team with short decision-making paths and an open corporate culture
  • The opportunity to remain part of our team after successful collaboration

We look forward to your application (including CV, enrollment certificate)!
