Working Student (m/f/d) Strategy & Business Development (AI Taskforce)

A 400 billion dollar market. A profitable scale-up that is rethinking it with AI and a global freelancer network. And in the midst of it all, a team that doesn't primarily write code, but decides what AI should achieve in the company - for more than 25,000 talents in over 70 countries, through automation and intelligent processes.

We are looking for you as a Working Student (m/f/d) Strategy & Business Development (AI Taskforce) at our headquarters in Munich-Schwabing for our cross-functional strategic taskforce. You will work at the intersection of Strategy, Business, and AI - as a sparring partner for AI Engineers, Product and Operations Experts, and a former BCG consultant. Not as an additional Engineer in the team, but as the person who ensures that the team builds the right thing.
This is not a classic working student position for techies. You will structure problems, build business cases, evaluate AI applications from a business perspective, and translate between what is technically possible and what is strategically sensible. The concepts you work on don't end up in a drawer - they flow directly into decisions made by our leadership team.

What you will actually do

• AI Strategy instead of AI Code: You will work on strategic AI initiatives such as our Talent Assistant or AutoQA 2.0 (AI-based voice file analysis) - not as a developer, but as someone who structures requirements, sets priorities, and turns initial ideas into robust feature concepts. Our AI Engineers will handle the technical implementation; you will ensure they build the right thing.
• Ideas become Decisions: You will analyze complex issues, build business cases according to classic case logic, and develop decision-making bases for our leadership team. Your analyses will directly influence which AI initiatives are implemented.
• AI needs Structure: Large language models are only as good as the data behind them. You will define competency frameworks and evaluation logics that make our AI systems more intelligent - the content logic, not the technical implementation.
• Own Projects with Real Ownership: You will independently take on topics from the initial analysis to the first concept - a new AI use case, a workflow that is still manual today, an automation, a new solution approach. The content changes, the ambition doesn't: you get responsibility, not just tasks.
• Work where the greatest leverage is currently: You will support our team where the most exciting strategic questions are currently arising. This means variety, high speed, and visible impact.

• Academic Background: You are currently studying for your Master's degree (Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable) and already have initial practical experience - ideally with a strategic or analytical focus.
• AI-Affinity, not an AI Engineer: You don't need to know how to code or build models. But you use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT as a power user for research, analysis, and structuring - and understand how AI changes business processes. More important than deep technical knowledge: you recognize what problem an AI use case is actually supposed to solve.
• Skills: You structure complex issues cleanly and are proficient enough in PowerPoint and Excel to prepare convincing management presentations and business cases.
• Mindset: You don't wait for someone to explain the next step to you. You enjoy delving into new topics, think entrepreneurially, and want to develop solutions rather than just completing tasks.
• Language Skills: You communicate and present in fluent German and English and naturally possess a healthy sense of humor.
• Conditions: You have 16–20 hours per week available during the semester to work with us on-site at our Munich headquarters. Flexible to full-time possible during lecture-free periods.
