Job description
About Us
At WIANCO OTT Robotics, we develop EMMA – a no-code automation software for businesses and public administration. And we have Otto: our humanoid robot (Unitree G1) who talks to people, travels to trade fairs and events, and already excites a five-figure community on TikTok and Instagram.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about new technologies, wants to advance Otto with us, and show the world what a humanoid robot can do today.
Your Tasks
Bringing Otto to the Stage
You will accompany Otto to trade fairs and events, take care of setup and operation on-site, and be the point of contact for curious visitors.
You will ensure that Otto says and does the right thing at the right moment – from conversation flows to movements and gestures.
Making Otto Visible
You will develop ideas for short-form videos with Otto, shoot and edit them, and manage our TikTok and Instagram channels.
You will show robotics from the inside: new features, behind the scenes, and event highlights – entertainingly and fitting our company identity.
You will keep an eye on trends and numbers and find out which formats are working.
Experimenting with Otto
You will try out new AI tools and features, e.g., for Otto's voice assistant, reactions, and movements – and test what works in real-world application.
Depending on your interest and prior knowledge, you will also work technically: small adjustments, configurations, or your own prototypes.
You will document what works so the team can build upon it.
What You Bring Along
Must-Haves
Enrolled student – whether in Computer Science, Media, Communication, Design, Business, Engineering, or something completely different
Enthusiasm for new technologies like robotics and AI, and no fear of diving into technology
Social media affinity: You know what works on TikTok and Instagram, and you enjoy making videos
Open demeanor and enjoyment in exciting people at events
Initiative and a reliable, independent work style
High willingness to travel – including for events on weekends or evenings (by arrangement and predictable)
Driver's license Class B (transport of Otto and equipment to events)
Good German and English language skills
Nice to Have
Initial programming experience (e.g., Python) or experience with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar beyond pure usage
Experience with video editing (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
Your own social media channels or content projects that you can show us
Interest in robotics, electronics, or maker projects
What We Offer You
Hands-on experience with a humanoid robot – a technology that very few people can work with so far
A role between technology, creativity, and events that you actively help shape
An existing, active community instead of starting from scratch
Direct collaboration with the Head of Research & Development
Events, trade fairs, and insights into automotive, logistics, and public administration
Flexible working hours, coordinated with your studies
Coverage of all travel expenses for events
