Working Student (m/f/d) Digital Inventory Management & ERP (Odoo)

You bring structure to our raw materials, digitize the flow of goods, and completely rebuild our warehouse – from the first scan to the last bag.

At LAKEFIELDS, we produce grain-free premium food for dogs and cats in our own manufactory on Lake Constance – made from fresh meat from certified farms and regional fruits and vegetables. To enable us to continue growing, we are currently completely rebuilding our raw material, inventory, and warehouse processes in our ERP system Odoo. That's why we are looking for you: a dedicated working student who will help shape this project from the ground up.

Tasks

01 ERP Foundation: Raw Materials & Master Data

Create and continuously maintain raw materials in the ERP

Develop and introduce meaningful numbering schemes and categories for raw materials

02 Barcode Power & Hardware Setup

Generate barcodes for raw materials and products

Select, install, and commission barcode printers and handheld scanners

03 Goods Receipt Under Control

Record incoming products and raw materials, read them in via scanner, and book them cleanly in the ERP

Digitize orders and reconcile deliveries with orders to ensure secure and clean inventories

04 Goods Flow & Warehouse Design

Assign warehouse locations and create them in the ERP

Conceive and introduce a chaotic or another well-functioning warehouse system

05 Clean Inventories – Cross-Departmental

Close coordination with production, labeling, packaging, and warehousing so that daily produced quantities are booked correctly and promptly

Record and document stock discrepancies

Ensure that the ERP always shows a clean, reliable inventory

Qualifications

Enrolled student, ideally with a focus on business, logistics/supply chain, business informatics, or a technical degree – other fields of study with an interest in the topic are also welcome

First experience with ERP systems (Odoo knowledge is an advantage) or a strong willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with it

Structured, meticulous way of working and enjoyment of order and systematic processes

Technical understanding of hardware such as printers and scanners, and no fear of new software

Strong communication skills in exchanges with multiple departments (production, labeling, packaging, warehouse)

Proactiveness and hands-on mentality – you want to shape a project from the ground up, not just manage it
