Working Student IT System Administration (m/f/d) - 100% Remote

FastRocket GmbH, a software company based in Regen, Germany, is looking for a Working Student for IT System Administration (m/f/d) part-time (10-28 hours per week).

We specialize in the development of individual web applications and mobile apps with a strong background in Node.JS, Angular, React, and Flutter. With a team of 15 colleagues, we develop individual software solutions for our clients. We also provide IT support for our clients in the Regen and Deggendorf region.

Tasks

• You support us with the remote setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and workstations
• You work remotely on the setup and support of our clients' IT infrastructures
• You help with the administration of networks, servers, and cloud environments
• You monitor IT systems and help to detect and resolve disruptions early on
• You solve technical problems in remote support via ticket system, phone, or video call
• You answer technical questions from our clients, digitally and without on-site appointments
• You support us with IT security measures and in adhering to data protection and security guidelines
• You document systems, processes, and solutions
• You contribute your own ideas to simplify and improve our IT processes
• You participate in IT projects and gradually take over your own sub-tasks

Qualification

• You are enrolled at a university or college, ideally in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable degree program
• You already have initial practical experience in IT administration or enjoy working with networks, servers, or Linux privately, for example with your own homelab
• Basic knowledge in the administration of IT systems, networks, and servers
• Initial exposure to cloud environments is a plus
• Interest in IT security, data protection, and backup concepts
• You work in a structured and independent manner and organize yourself well even in a home office
• You can explain technical contexts comprehensibly and remain calm even when problems arise
• You are reliable, enjoy working in a team, and want to learn
• You can work at least 10 hours per week and have a stable internet connection
• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing
