Working Student Innovation (m/f/d)

Part Time Entry Level

Job description

Your Mission at EEF

As a working student in Innovation, you will support the identification and further development of new technologies, markets, and business models for the energy transition. You will analyze future topics such as battery storage, data centers, heat supply, or integrated energy concepts and help derive concrete courses of action and projects for EEF from innovative ideas. You will work at the intersection of technology, business, and strategy. You will question existing approaches, bring in new perspectives, and support our team in identifying opportunities early and actively shaping the future of energy supply.

Your Tasks

  • Technology, Market & Business Model Development: You will monitor new technologies, market trends, and business models related to the energy transition. You will conduct market and competitive analyses, create benchmarks, and evaluate potentials for EEF.

  • Energy Concepts & Technology Assessment: You will engage with current and future developments in the energy system and support the development of integrated energy concepts. You will assess new technologies regarding their technical, economic, regulatory, and organizational opportunities and risks.

  • Analyses & Decision Preparation: You will prepare complex issues in an understandable and structured manner. This includes market analyses, presentations, business cases, and decision proposals for management and specialist departments.

  • Pilot Projects & Implementation: You will support the development and management of pilot projects and contribute to creating the conditions for successful implementation and integration of innovative solutions into the organization. To this end, you will support the design of processes, standards, and workflows.

  • Innovation & Network: You will research relevant market players, start-ups, research institutions, and partners. You will also monitor current market developments, contribute new ideas, and support innovation workshops, events, and cross-departmental projects.

What You Bring

  • Academic Background: You are studying Industrial Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, or a comparable technical or economic-technical degree program.

  • Enthusiasm for Innovation & Energy Transition: You are interested in new technologies, innovative business models, and the transformation of the energy system. New topics motivate you, and you quickly familiarize yourself with complex issues.

  • Analytical Thinking Skills: You enjoy understanding complex contexts, structuring information, and drawing sound conclusions.

  • Strong Communication Skills: You can prepare complex content in an understandable way and present it convincingly, both in writing and in personal interaction.

  • Initiative & Implementation Strength: You work independently, reliably, and in a solution-oriented manner. Instead of just describing problems, you develop your own ideas and actively drive topics forward.

  • Language Skills: You have excellent German language skills, both written and spoken.

Your Working Style

You approach topics with curiosity, structure, and a high degree of initiative. New issues motivate you, and you enjoy delving into unknown subject areas. You think analytically, connect different perspectives, and maintain an overview even in complex contexts. You work autonomously, actively seek solutions, and openly contribute your ideas in discussions.

What We Offer You

  • Attractive Compensation Model: €18/hour for Bachelor's students, €21/hour for Master's students.
  • Holiday Policy: 24 days of annual leave.
  • Meal Allowance: Monthly subsidy for lunch.
  • Professional Development: Diverse and personalized training opportunities.
  • Varied Tasks: Exciting projects in an innovative company with an open corporate culture.

  • Flexibility & Team Culture: You can expect a motivated team, modern working conditions, and a culture characterized by trust, collaboration, and continuous development.
