Job description

About Us

Kijimea – From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: We want to specifically leverage the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life – for everyone.

We achieved a first major milestone on this path as early as 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the most well-researched bacterial strains worldwide. Its efficacy and unique mechanism of action have been proven and published in numerous clinical studies – including in renowned journals such as The Lancet.

We collaborate with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the connections between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases, and mental disorders. In short: We are investigating how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.

Today, we are among the fastest-growing healthcare companies worldwide. We reach our customers through various channels: direct communication with doctors and pharmacists, as well as print, TV, and digital marketing. To further expand our strongly growing business in Europe, we are looking for outstanding talents to support us in this mission. Our goal is clearly defined: By 2028, we want to make Kijimea the world's largest DTC probiotic brand, thereby giving over 50 million people a better life each year.

Does this sound exciting to you? Then apply now! We look forward to getting to know you.

Your Mission With Us

Do you want to look behind the scenes of one of Europe's fastest-growing healthcare companies while bringing your creativity to real projects? Then you've come to the right place!

We are looking for a working student (m/f/d) in the graphic design field, starting immediately, to support our team primarily in the implementation and processing of video content. You will help to edit video material, prepare it for various channels such as social media and Amazon, and transfer it into suitable formats. You will also support us in designing and adapting print and online assets and contribute to making our content visually appealing and brand-compliant.

Help us make the Kijimea brand – already one of the leading probiotic brands worldwide – even more successful.

Your Tasks

  • You will support the design and implementation of print media such as flyers, brochures, posters, and packaging within our corporate design guidelines.

  • You will adapt graphics and layouts for print and online assets, ensuring consistent representation and adherence to our CD guidelines.

  • You will process and optimize photos and graphics, conduct image research, and assist in the selection and archiving of image material.

  • You will help with the conception and design of online advertising materials, landing pages, and other digital assets.

  • You will support the processing of videos – especially with simple video editing, format adjustments for Amazon and social media, and language adaptations.

  • You will create simple animations as needed and support research for suitable stock videos and audio files.

  • You will contribute your own ideas and help us to implement our content in a visually appealing and target-group-oriented manner.

Your Profile

  • You are currently enrolled in a degree program, ideally in a field related to graphic design, media design, communication design, media, marketing, or a comparable discipline.

  • You have a good feel for design, typography, colors, and shapes, and enjoy visual themes.

  • You have initial practical experience in designing print or online materials – for example, from your studies, personal projects, internships, or student jobs.

  • Ideally, you have initial knowledge in one or more Adobe programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. You don't have to be a professional yet – what's important are your willingness to learn and your interest in design.

  • You have initial experience in video editing or want to develop further in this area. Knowledge of browser-based tools like VEED is an advantage.

  • You work reliably, structured, and independently, and at the same time enjoy collaborating in a team.

  • You have fluent German (at least C1 level) and very good English skills (at least B2 level).

Our Promise

We offer you a diverse, challenging job with exciting tasks and a broad spectrum of creative possibilities! Our innovative environment allows for your professional development with short decision-making processes, responsibility from day 1, and the freedom to forge new paths. Individual learning and real meaningfulness await you – contribute your personal effort to give millions of people a new lease on life!
