Student (gn) for Automation Technology and 3D Vision

The 3D-aero GmbH is a tech company from Hamburg with about 60 employees and has been a proud part of the MTU Aero Engines AG since December 2024 – one of the world's leading companies in the aerospace industry. We develop customer-specific automation solutions for aircraft production and other industrial sectors. In doing so, we use optical sensor technology and modern industrial robots together with KI-based data processing to develop tailored systems for our customers.

We are currently restructuring our internal documentation anew, so that all information is centrally available and easily accessible. The contents are diverse from the software documentation of our own software framework over internal processes (e.g., sensor calibration, commissioning procedures) up to hardware. In the first step, existing information must be reviewed, sorted, and duplicates corrected – for which we are looking for your support! Currently, we use Gitlab Wiki, but also migration to Gitlab Pages (in RTD style) as well as integration of a chat bot with access to our internal knowledge database can be part of your work activities.

Tasks

• Inventory of information structures
• Concepts for restructuring contents for better visibility
• Further development of the software basis of the documentation

Qualification

• Study with an engineering- / natural science focus
• Independent and structured work style
• Good analytical skills
• Desirable: Prior knowledge of common programming languages (ideally C#, alternatively C++ / Python)
• Good English and German language skills
