We are looking for a working student for medical documentation / tumor documentation (m/f/d) who will support us in fulfilling our mission: to improve and extend people's lives by learning from the experiences of every single cancer patient. The position is 100% remote and can be performed flexibly from home in Germany – whether you prefer to work early in the morning, in the afternoon, or in the evening, we want to support you in finding the working hours that suit you best, so that work can be well reconciled with your studies. The working hours can be flexibly arranged depending on your individual study situation, up to 20 or 25 hours per week.
Your Tasks
- You will document unstructured oncological patient data from clinical hospital and doctor's practice systems into our specially developed software system, including the complex capture, storage, and verification of clinical diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care data
- You will contribute your oncological expertise and continuously expand it to enable detailed and complete documentation in a variety of clinical projects
- You will provide direct feedback on new features, tools, and workflows, thereby contributing to the content development and quality assurance of our software solutions
- You will support us in continuously developing written work instructions for correct and uniform documentation
- You will evaluate approaches for documenting new data elements
Your Profile
You are a dedicated, cooperative, and goal-oriented individual who enjoys developing solutions and is open to new perspectives. In addition, you bring:
- Enrollment at a medical faculty in Germany
- Completed pre-clinical medical studies
- Strong interest in cancer diseases as well as in working with oncological patient data
- Oncology-specific prior experience, e.g., in the context of internships, practical training, and other clinical activities
- Basic knowledge of histology, classification systems (TNM, etc.), and therapy of oncological diseases is desirable
- Ideally, prior experience with tumor documentation systems (TDS), databases, and cancer registry software
- Basic IT skills (ideally Mac OS) and openness to new software solutions
- Excellent communication skills, reliability, attention to detail, integration skills, as well as a high degree of initiative and independence
- Native-level German and good English skills
