About the Role

For Buena to grow, invoices must be correct, payments must arrive on time, and financial figures must be reliable. As a working student in the Finance team, you will ensure this.

You will take on your own tasks in accounts payable and accounts receivable, process payments, and keep an eye on outstanding items. You will ensure that the monthly financial statements of our holding company and subsidiaries are available on time and accurately, and prepare figures for internal management.

You will work directly with Finance Operations and our CFO. You will get to know our financial structures from the ground up and improve the processes with which we manage a growing group of companies.

Your Tasks

• Incoming invoices and payment transactions. You will manage our invoice workflow from A to Z: invoice receipt, missing documents, approvals, and payments. You will monitor the group's payment transactions and execute a large portion of the approved payments yourself in Agicap.

• Outgoing invoices and new business areas. You will keep track of open items, reconcile incoming payments, and handle dunning procedures. For new business areas, you will help set up billing processes – from invoicing to accounting.

• Booking quality and monthly financial statements. You will check accounts, cost centers, and tax rates before the documents go to our tax advisors. You will clarify queries and ensure that the monthly financial statements of the holding company and our subsidiaries are correct and submitted on time.

• Processes and automation. You will identify where workflows are stuck or work is being duplicated, and make our financial processes faster and more reliable.

• Reporting and controlling. You will analyze financial data, prepare it for internal management, and make developments and deviations visible early on.

You are a good fit if you

• Take responsibility: You identify open points, follow up on them, and reliably complete your tasks.

• Understand why the choice of account is relevant – for reporting, taxes, and an overview of our business.

• Enjoy working with numbers and are proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Quickly learn new tools and are eager to improve and automate financial processes.

• Combine diligence with pragmatism: You prioritize, check crucial details, and deliver reliable results.

• Are enrolled at a university, for example, in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a comparable degree program, and are available for at least twelve months with approximately 20 hours per week.

• Speak and write fluent German and English. You will communicate with tax advisors and subsidiaries in German, and internally in English.

• Wish to work from our office in Prenzlauer Berg.
