Working Student Finance & Controlling (m/f/d)

As a Working Student Finance & Controlling (m/f/d) at Matchory, you will support our finance department and work closely with the management team: on financial planning, reporting, accounting, and subsidies. You will gain practical insights into how a SaaS company manages its finances and take on real tasks from day one, with guidance and plenty of room for learning.

Your tasks:

Controlling & Financial Planning

• You will support the creation and ongoing maintenance of financial planning, forecasts, and budgets
• You will assist in building and updating dashboards and financial models for internal and external stakeholders
• You will prepare KPI and performance analyses and participate in their analysis
• You will work on investor reports and prepare data for strategic planning

Accounting

• You will support communication with our external tax advisor and accounting department, e.g., by preparing documents and following up on open items
• You will participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements
• You will support invoice processing as well as creditor and debtor issues

Subsidies & Grants

• You will research public funding programs and grants relevant to Matchory (e.g., R&D funding, innovation funding)
• You will support grant applications by gathering information, preparing documents, and keeping an eye on deadlines
• You will maintain an overview of contact persons at funding agencies, ongoing applications, and their status

Process Optimization

• You will document existing financial and reporting processes and contribute suggestions for improvement
• You will support the introduction of tools and automations that increase efficiency and data transparency

• You are enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a comparable field (Bachelor's or Master's)
• First practical experience in Finance, Controlling, or Accounting, e.g., through an internship or a working student position, is a prerequisite
• You have a strong affinity for numbers, think analytically, and work meticulously
• You have very good knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
• You are interested in startup financing, public funding programs, and budget planning
• You speak fluent German and English
• You work in a structured, reliable manner with a hands-on mentality
• You are available 15-20 hours per week during the semester, for at least 12 months
