Working Student Engineering (m/f/d) - Analysis and Development of Automation Solutions for Assembly Lines

Your Role

Do you want to gain practical experience in mechanical engineering, automation technology, or industrial engineering and contribute to a real investment and design decision?
As part of a technical project, you will investigate possibilities for connecting our existing assembly lines for aerosol valves to a future automated carton transfer. You will work closely with our engineering experts and gain insights into the evaluation and development of industrial automation solutions.


Your Tasks

  • Analysis of ten existing assembly lines regarding their carton interfaces
  • Recording, documentation, and categorization of different system concepts
  • Research and evaluation of possible conveying systems and automation solutions
  • Development of various technical solution approaches for connecting the systems
  • Creation of a catalog of criteria for technical and economic evaluation
  • Comparison of external supplier solutions with potential in-house developments regarding functionality, costs, and implementation effort
  • Development of a recommendation for the further course of action
  • Optional: Support in the design and development of your own technical solution

Your Profile

  • Current studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Production Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field of study
  • Technical understanding and interest in machines and production plants
  • Structured and analytical working method
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Initial experience with CAD systems is an advantage
  • Initiative as well as an independent way of working
  • Good German language skills
