Neptune Energy GmbH & Co. KG is looking for a Working Student Cyber Risk & Compliance (m/f/d) immediately for the Hanover location:

As a working student in the area of Cyber Risk & Compliance, you will support the Digital Security Team in systematically identifying, assessing, and managing cyber risks.
The focus is on the interface between business and IT. You will help to understand requirements from the specialist departments, derive security and compliance risks, and ensure that new and existing IT solutions meet security requirements ("Secure-by-Design").
The role offers a practical introduction to topics such as cyber risk management, ISO 27001, and cyber security governance.

You will support with:

• the assessment of new applications regarding security requirements
• ensuring that security controls are integrated into solutions
• regular reviews of existing applications and processes
• the identification and assessment of IT and cyber risks, as well as the maintenance and updating of the Risk Register and the follow-up of measures
• the execution of audits (e.g., ISO 27001)
• the preparation of reports and documentation for internal/external audits

• Enrolled student (m/f/d) in Computer Science/Business Informatics, IT Security / Cyber Security, Business Administration with IT relevance, or comparable
• Ideally, initial experience in IT or information security 
• Interest in topics such as IT risk management and IT architecture, compliance / ISO 27001 / NIS2 / NIST CSF, cyber security
• Good MS Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Analytical thinking and structured work approach
• Interest in understanding the connections between business and IT
• Proactivity and willingness to learn
• Communication skills and team orientation
• Very good German and good English language skills
