Working Student AI Consulting & Infrastructure (m/f/d)

At bitaggregat, we develop secure hardware for the network sector and support customers in building information security in a structured manner. Together with partners from industry and research, we explore new technologies and transform them into market-ready products.

We are increasingly concerned with the question of how companies can use AI securely, sovereignly, and practically. We develop solutions where AI does not necessarily have to run in the cloud, but directly at the customer's site – on their own infrastructure and with control over data, models, and processes.

We are looking for a dedicated working student to support us in building local AI infrastructures, advising customers on AI deployment, and developing concrete applications for knowledge management and automation.

Tasks

• Support in the planning, setup, and maintenance of local AI infrastructures for our customers
• Support in technical consulting for our customers on local and sovereign AI
• Evaluation and integration of open-source AI models, tools, and frameworks
• Development and enhancement of AI applications for knowledge management, e.g., internal chatbots and RAG systems
• Preparation and connection of knowledge sources such as documentation, wikis, and technical documents
• Support for proofs-of-concept and prototypes for customers and internal applications
• Investigation of new developments in the field of LLMs, AI Agents, RAG, Inference, and AI Infrastructure
• Support in optimizing our internal processes through AI and automation
• Documentation of setups, solutions, and experiences to create reusable concepts and standards

Qualifications

• You are studying Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, AI, or a comparable degree program
• You have a strong interest in artificial intelligence and modern AI systems, and ideally, you are also engaged with these topics outside of your studies
• You have initial practical experience with Python and/or Linux
• You want to understand how AI models are actually operated and integrated into existing systems
• You enjoy independently learning new technologies and complex technical challenges
• You have a careful, structured, and independent working style
• You can explain technical issues clearly and enjoy developing solutions collaboratively with customers and colleagues
• You possess curiosity and enthusiasm for new technologies and enjoy trying things out yourself
• Very good German language skills (at least C1)

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, RAG, Embeddings, or Vector Databases
• Experience with frameworks and tools such as Ollama, vLLM, Open WebUI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or comparable technologies
• Knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes, or Linux system administration
• Knowledge in Git, Deployment, or Monitoring
• Interest in AI Agents and workflow automation
• Experience with knowledge management, documentation systems, or chatbots
• Basic understanding of IT security, data protection, and secure operation of AI systems
