Werksstudent - Technical Support & Data Preparation

The mobaix GmbH, located in Aachen, develops AI-based evaluation systems based on camera and sensor technology that capture the movements of all road users in real-time and help make traffic safer and more efficient.

Our core competence lies in processing and analyzing data from thermographic cameras as well as connecting to traffic control systems to recognize critical situations early on and activate adaptive traffic controls. To achieve this, we combine expertise from traffic engineering, software development, and traffic psychology in a small, practice-oriented team.

To support our ongoing operations, we are looking for a work student (m/w/d) who will work on hardware at the site, prepare data for our AI systems, or complete external tasks.

Tasks

• Replace batteries and perform functional checks on devices
• Assist in setting up and aligning camera systems on-site
• Support with hardware-related topics: shelves, locks, network cables, general cabling, etc.
• Correct and maintain training data (e.g. labels, annotations, obvious errors)
• Manual evaluations and plausibility checks of measurement and test data

Qualification

• Enrolled student (m/w/d)
• Solid technical affinity: You can work with tools and computers or trust yourself to do so after brief instruction
• Meticulous, reliable, and structured working style
• Class B driver's license
• Readiness to take on simple practical tasks (errands, assemblies in the technical field)
• German language skills at least at the B2 level, secure reading/writing of simple technical instructions
• Time flexibility, workload varies by week
