JOB TITLE:
Welder School Coordinator
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the Welding School at the site (planning, preparation, qualification, analysis, communication, improvement).
- The candidate will report directly to the Welding Site Manager.
- Soudage Community, Special Procedures Teams, Methods, Production, and Quality
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main missions :
- Ensure the safety of goods and people at the Welding School
- Organize and manage the personnel of the Welding School (currently a metallographer and a welding trainer)
- Guarantee the workload plan of the Welding School and its optimization, in conjunction with production needs and analysis and modeling needs for welders' coordinators
- Ensure activity planning at the Welding School (convocations, qualification, communication)
- Daily update the welding database and communicate in real-time the list of welders for production
- Evaluate theoretical skills acquired by welders and provide theoretical training
- Analyze macrographs, folds, and write incident reports. Organize subcontracting if necessary.
- Assist the welding trainer and/or metallographer as needed
- Maintain KPIs up-to-date and communicate to impacted services
- Manage necessary consumables for activity
- FOLLOW UP ON SUBCONTRACTING OF WELDER TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS (QS)
- Develop the training and qualification tool for welders, propose improvements in organization or investment to develop the Welding School
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Bac+2 and/or experience in the field of Chaudronnerie, Soudage, Métallographie
- Experience in planning
- Successful experience in local management
- A first experience in the railway/automotive sector is appreciated.
- The candidate will be autonomous in their management, rigorous in their analyses, proactive in improving the Welding School, good communicator with transverse functions. Mastery of Office pack and capable of speaking English punctually.
- Evolutions are possible within the Welding School coordination at the site, in production, methods, or quality.
