WELDER (Metal Fabricator)

WELDER (Metal Fabricator) required for a well-established Australian Business “JAMAR GROUP PTY LTD” located in SEYMOUR VIC 3660. Ideal candidate must have good practical experience working commercially as a Metal Fabricator. Duties Include:

• Studying blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job, material, and equipment requirements
• Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal stock, fabrication tools, and equipment
• Cutting, rolling, bending, shaping, moulding, heating, or hammering metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies
• Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing, or bathing them in acidic solutions
• Checking quality of fabricated parts or sub-assemblies
• Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling, or grinding
• Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
• Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision

In Return, for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package of ($75,000 - $80,000 plus Super) and receive ongoing training with the opportunity to develop your career. Applicants with formal trade qualifications and with 2 years of practical experience working as a metal fabricator will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days a week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, & late shifts).
