Web Developer (m/w/d)

We are a team of web professionals from Rostock and Hamburg, specializing in Laravel and Craft CMS. We are looking for reinforcement to create new tailored Web Apps and Websites.

You will take technical responsibility for Frontends in our Craft- & Laravel Projects: clean, performant, accessible, and close to design.

You will work closely with the team, bring structure, think with you, and communicate clearly.

Our projects range from elegant Content Websites over complex Multisite Instances up to platforms with individual Business Logic. And since we are a small, specialized team, everyone wears many hats – but with a clear focus on good Web development.

A few projects you might have worked on if you were already part of our team:

• Self-Service-Beraterportal: Building an independent advisor portal for KlinikRente with extensive Craft Backend logic, Meilisearch search, user workflows, and tailored frontend
• Barrier-free Relaunch: Developing a consistent, barrier-free Storybook design system for multiple Craft Multisites
• Youth Journalism: Developing a own media archive for the Youth Press Association Germany
• Interactive City Tour: Developing an analog-digital offer in the Rostocker Stadthafen on topics such as urban development, environment, and culture

Tasks

In this role, you will develop Frontends that are technically and design-wise convincing and sustainably maintainable.

• You will elevate our UI technically and design-wise to a high level.
• You will set designs precisely and work component-based.
• You will develop performant, sustainable, and barrier-free Frontends.
• You will structure your styling clearly and develop reusable UI building blocks.
• You will bind Frontends cleanly to Craft CMS and Laravel, e.g., through Twig templates, Vue components, and modular structures.
• You will work closely with data structures, templates, and editorial requirements.
• You will improve existing solutions and bring in your own ideas.

Qualification

This helps you get started quickly at our company and build great Frontends.

• Strong frontend craftsmanship and high quality standards – You have several years of experience in frontend development.
• You have experience with Tailwind CSS.
• Vue.js knowledge – or React experience and motivation to learn Vue.js at our company
• Sensitivity for details in states, interactions, responsiveness, typography, and layouts
• Readiness to work with PHP and template logic.
• Structured thinking and joy in problem-solving.
• Openness in communication and enthusiasm for collaboration
• Curiosity and motivation for further development

Benefits

We offer you the opportunity to work full-time or part-time (4-day week) at our office in the heart of Rostock with a balcony and plenty of green space – and, of course, you can regularly work from home. That's up to each individual!

The salary for this position is €55,000 gross during the six-month probation period and then €60,000 gross at full-time.

• This job includes 25 days of vacation time per year at full-time.
• You also have your birthday off 🥳 and we close our office between Christmas and New Year's Day.

We set ourselves a sustainable and healthy work tempo and believe that 8 hours per day is more than enough time to do good work. You can schedule your working hours flexibly and we will never ask you to work overtime.

Here are some methods and technologies with which we currently work:

• Frontends are built with Vue.js or Twig and Tailwind CSS. If needed, we use TypeScript.
• Craft CMS and Laravel: You will not find any legacy projects with outdated frameworks at our company.
• We work with PHPStorm, DDEV, and of course Git.
• Deployments run through scripts and CI pipelines.
• Unit tests and code reviews yay!
• Our time tracking is based on trust, not control.
• We host all our services using Laravel Forge, NGINX, PHP, MySQL, and Redis.

We regularly exchange information in our weekly meeting and communicate via Slack, Linear, and Notion. There are no daily meetings at our company.
