Job description

We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer with a focus on Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) to support drainage, stormwater, and civil infrastructure design projects. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, practical design experience, and the ability to work closely with project managers and engineers to deliver high-quality technical work. This position is NOT REMOTE. This is a hands-on technical position with a clear growth path, including support toward obtaining EIT and PE licensure. **Responsibilities:** * Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for a variety of projects, including drainage, stormwater management, and flood control. * Develop and review H&H models using software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and/or other industry-standard software. * Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design drawings. * Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. * Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations. * Stay current with industry trends and advancements in H&H. * Communicate effectively with clients and regulatory agencies. * Participate in site visits and field investigations as needed. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. * 2+ years of experience in H&H design. * Experience with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS software. * Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles. * Ability to perform complex calculations and analyses. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software. * EIT certification or ability to obtain within 1 year. **Preferred Skills:** * Experience with stormwater management design. * Experience with GIS software. * Familiarity with local and state regulations related to drainage and stormwater. * Experience with MicroStation. * PE License. **Benefits:** * Competitive salary * Health, dental, and vision insurance * Paid time off * 401(k) plan * Professional development opportunities * Support for obtaining professional licenses
