Warehouse Operations Manager: Stock Control & KPI-Driven

A logistics management firm in South Africa is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead operations. The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years in warehousing management and possess a relevant Supply Chain Certificate or Degree. Responsibilities include enforcing Standard Operating Procedures, optimizing stock storage, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires strong knowledge of compliance standards and operational principles, coupled with proficiency in warehouse management systems and a proven track record of achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods. The successful candidate will play a critical role in streamlining warehouse operations, improving efficiency, and reducing costs. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods. * Manage and motivate a team of warehouse staff. * Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations. * Optimize stock storage and maintain accurate inventory records. * Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement. * Conduct performance reviews for warehouse staff. * Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting delivery deadlines and maintaining product quality. * Manage and control warehouse budget. * Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. * Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS). Requirements: * More than 5 years of experience in warehousing management. * Relevant Supply Chain Certificate or Degree. * Strong knowledge of compliance standards and operational principles. * Proficiency in warehouse management systems. * Proven track record of achieving KPIs. * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Experience in managing and motivating a team.
