Job description

Location: Melbourne (Airport West / Tullamarine area)
Salary: $110,000 – $120,000
Employment Type: Full-time

We’re partnering with a fast-growing trans-Tasman importing and wholesale business to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead their Melbourne operation.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a business that has grown rapidly over the past 18 months and is entering its next phase of expansion, including a move to a larger purpose-designed warehouse.

About the Role
As Warehouse Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operation, leading a close-knit team and ensuring inventory accuracy, service levels, and operational flow keep pace with growth.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership in Australia and New Zealand and play a key role in designing and transitioning into a new warehouse facility over the next 6–12 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a warehouse team of 5+ staff across inwards, dispatch, and pick/pack
  • Own daily warehouse operations, including inbound containers, inventory control, and order fulfilment
  • Maintain high DIFOT, accuracy, and productivity standards in a fast-moving environment
  • Support ongoing growth in order volume
  • Play a hands-on role in planning and transitioning to a new, larger warehouse facility
  • Drive continuous improvement in layout, workflow, and processes
  • Work collaboratively with NZ head office and local stakeholders
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture

About You
We are looking for an experienced warehouse leader who enjoys being present on the floor and leading from the front. They will be practical, energetic, and confident managing people in a growing operation.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or
  • Experience leading teams of 5–10 staff
  • Strong background in wholesale, importing, textiles, FMCG, or similar environments
  • Hands-on experience with inventory accuracy, inbound containers, and dispatch operations
  • Confidence operating in a growing, change-driven environment
  • A people-first leadership style that fits a collaborative, inclusive culture
  • Experience in textiles or homewares is very beneficial.
