Job Description Walker (Medical Courier Support) Job Title: Walker Department: Logistics Reports to: Logistics Manager / Courier Supervisor Location: Kings Williams Town Employment Type: [Permanent / Fixed-term ] Job Purpose The Walker is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional collection and delivery of laboratory samples, medical supplies, and stock items within designated areas. The role also includes maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers through regular check-ins, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and satisfied with the services provided. Key Responsibilities • Collect and deliver laboratory samples, medical supplies, and stock items in a timely and professional manner. • Maintain accurate records of collections and deliveries, including tracking and reporting any issues or concerns. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers through regular check-ins, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and satisfied with the services provided. • Collaborate with logistics team to optimize routes and schedules for efficient delivery. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements. • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and company protocols. Job Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or degree preferred. • 1-2 years of experience in a related field (e.g., logistics, transportation, customer service). • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
