VP/ Head of People & Organization (m/w/d)

You build a scalable organizational architecture for a growth-oriented, VC-financed Defence-Tech company. You work directly with the CEO & Founder and shape Performance, Leadership, and Culture on a strategic level.

Your Role

You are responsible for developing a performance-oriented, resilient organization in a phase of dynamic growth. You combine strategic organizational design with Recruiting and Performance Management.

Our client is an European Tech-Scale-Up in the field of AI-based security and defense systems.

The company develops innovative software solutions for networking and real-time analysis of critical platforms, and works closely with established actors in the defense industry.

The company culture combines technical excellence with fast decision-making and flat hierarchies.

Tasks

• Strategic sparring partner to the CEO in organizational & personnel matters
• Building an organizational architecture with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and decision-making paths
• Further development of the 1st and 2nd leadership level through Leadership Coaching
• Stabilizing the organization during growth phases through conflict resolution and clear escalation mechanisms
• Conceptualization and implementation of a company-wide Performance Management System with clear goal-setting and identification of performance gaps
• Introduction of binding feedback, review, and decision-making cycles across all levels
• Leading and scaling the Recruiting Team along clearly defined KPI models with overall responsibility for Leadership Hiring and critical key positions
• People-KPI-Reporting for investors and Board

Qualification

• Multiple years of experience as VP/Head of People, Head of HR
• Demonstrated build-up of scalable organizational and performance structures in a VC-financed B2B Scale-up
• Experience in building and leading Recruiting Teams and experience in Leadership Hiring
• Work experience in high-performance environments with fast delivery cycles
• Safety in dealing with investors and management boards
• Entrepreneurial thinking, high decision-making ability, and assertiveness
• Outstanding analytical competence and data-based working methods
