VP, GTFD, Trade & Working Capital Solutions (Energy Infrastructure & Commodities) - SMBC - Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation

The Vice President, Trade & Working Capital Solutions (Energy Infrastructure & Commodities), is a senior execution and origination role within GTFD, based in Singapore, with regional responsibility across APAC including India. The role is accountable for driving business growth in structured and conventional trade finance, originating and executing complex transactions, and acting as a key product and credit partner to relationship management teams. The VP is expected to demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for the development of the Trade & Working Capital Solutions (Energy Infrastructure & Commodities) franchise, with a focus on building strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth through innovative solutions. This role will also be responsible for collaborating closely with other GTFD teams, including Risk Management, Compliance, and Operations to ensure effective execution of transactions and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the energy infrastructure and commodities markets, as well as experience in trade finance and working capital solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
