Your ResponsibilitiesYou take disciplinary leadership of the engineers at the Berlin site within a deliberately flat organizational structure and strengthen a culture of ownership, collaboration, and technical excellence.Together with the VP Engineering at our Swiss site and the Group CTO, you ensure strategic alignment of R&D activities across both locations and maintain consistency within our cross-site SAFe-based development organization.Together with product management and executive leadership, you contribute to the development of our product and technology roadmap and support its implementation.You work closely with Product Owners, System Architects, and the largely cross-site agile teams. In particular, you accompany strategic initiatives and help teams address and resolve cross-team and cross-site impediments quickly.You strengthen our agile development organization according to the principles of Essential SAFe and drive continuous improvements in our development processes.You build and develop engineering talent and continuously grow our local engineering team.You are responsible for resource planning and budgeting for the Berlin R&D organization. You hold a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field.You bring several years of leadership experience in an R&D environment and have built or further developed engineering teams in a technology-driven organization.You have experience working in agile development organizations (ideally SAFe) and understand how cross-site teams collaborate effectively in such structures.You have a solid technical background in software development (embedded and/or cloud) and are able to shape, evaluate, and support technical strategies and architectural decisions at an organizational level. Experience in algorithm design or hardware development is a plus.You think strategically, communicate clearly and convincingly, and are able to align stakeholders across locations around common goals.You are an integrative leader who inspires teams, fosters ownership, and enables a culture of trust and collaboration.You are fluent in German and English.
