VOLUNTEER (M/F/D) PUBLISHING PRODUCTION / COMMUNICATION DESIGN

Callwey is the leading publisher for stylish home and lifestyle. We publish 40 new titles annually in the subject areas of architecture, design, living, garden, cooking, fashion, travel, and lifestyle. With our passion for bookmaking, we create worlds of experience for our readers and individual solutions for our customers.

For collaboration in our Publishing Production department, we are seeking a Volunteer (m/f/d) by arrangement for a duration of min. 12 months up to 18 months.

Tasks

– You will learn the work involved in high-quality coffee table books.

– You will work with graphic designers, lithographers, and printing partners.

– You will learn everything about the technical implementation of a book product, from design and typesetting to the production of print data.

– Working on layouts (InDesign, Illustrator) and designing content are part of your daily tasks.

– You will contribute to our digital platforms and social media communication, and among other things, process images (Photoshop).

Qualifications

– You have a university degree in Communication Design, Media Design, or a comparable qualification.

– Initial practical experience in the publishing or media sector, as well as social media platforms, is advantageous.

– You have good English language skills.

– You work constructively in a team as well as independently and with commitment.

– You have a passion for book products and a high affinity for online media.

– Organizational skills and creativity round off your profile.

The internship will be remunerated with €2,088.00/month.
