VOLUNTEER (M/F/D) Publishing Production / Communication Design

Callwey is the leading publisher for stylish home and lifestyle. Each year, we publish 40 new titles in the subject areas of Architecture, Design, Living, Garden, Cooking, Fashion, Travel, and Lifestyle. With our passion for bookmaking, we create worlds of experience for our readers and individual solutions for our customers.

For our Publishing Production department, we are looking for a volunteer (m/f/d) for a period of at least 12 months up to 18 months, by arrangement.

Responsibilities

– You will learn the work involved in high-quality coffee table books.

– You will collaborate with graphic designers, lithographers, and printing partners.

– You will learn everything about the technical implementation of a book product, from design and typesetting to the creation of print data.

– Working on layouts (InDesign, Illustrator) and content design are part of your daily tasks.

– You will contribute to the work on our digital platforms and our social media communication, processing images (Photoshop) among other tasks.

Qualifications

– You have a university degree in Communication Design, Media Design, or a comparable qualification.

– Initial practical experience in the publishing or media sector, as well as social media platforms, is advantageous.

– You have good English language skills.

– You work both constructively in a team and independently and with commitment.

– You have a passion for book products and a high affinity for online media.

– Organizational skills and creativity complete your profile.
