Your new job

You build voices. Not configure, not bind to API – really build. At botario, you develop the Text-To-Speech and Speech-To-Text systems behind our Voice Agents: voices that sound natural, respond in real-time, and understand even when it's whispered at the other end.

What you'll be working on

• You build and improve our own TTS and STT systems – from model to streaming inference
• You optimize for low latency: Time-to-First-Audio, Streaming Synthesis, efficient serving – every millisecond counts
• You work on voice quality and naturalness: prosody, emphasis, robustness in real audio conditions
• You evaluate new open-source speech models and bring the best approaches into our stack
• You measure what you build: latency profiling, quality benchmarks, listening tests

The qualifications you need

• You have practical experience with speech technology: TTS, STT, real-time audio or speech model inference
• Terms like Audio Codec or Speech Tokenizer are not a foreign language for you – or you bring a solid Torch/ML background and want to dive deeper here: Then sign up anyway!
• You have very good programming knowledge in Python and don't hesitate to tackle unfamiliar topics
• You know why a few hundred milliseconds of latency can ruin a conversation – and have ideas on how to optimize them away
• Desirable: experience with the commercial use of speech models
• You work well in a team and with agile methods
