CONTEXT As part of strengthening our banking client's control frameworks within the **Front Office / Risk** perimeter, you will join the team responsible for ensuring the compliance and security of financial market operations. As a **Senior Data Analyst**, you will take responsibility for the perimeter of **monitoring external events to the bank (excluding IT systems)** that could be qualified as market abuse (MAR) and require regulatory reporting. You will play a key reference role for management and all stakeholders. MISSION DESCRIPTION On a daily basis, you will lead the initiative in close collaboration with the Risk, Business, IT, and Management teams around the following areas: * **Monitoring External Events:** Identify, analyze, and scope all external data and feeds outside of IT systems that present suspicions of market abuse (MAR). * **Data Flow Analysis and Reconciliation:** Map complex data flow patterns, design and execute reconciliation schemes with a strict Risk-oriented approach. * **Regulatory Reporting:** Validate cases and formalize suspicion notifications intended for regulators, ensuring compliance with time constraints. * **Data Exploration, Manipulation & Modeling:** Process and cross-reference large volumes of data (**Python**, **SQL**, **Excel**) to identify anomalies and optimize detection rules. * **Coordination & Posture:** Interact directly with IT teams to evolve the system and act as a consultant/reference for management. Deliverables to produce (non-exhaustive list): * Data reconciliation schemes and external flow mappings. * Complex incident analysis sheets and suspicion reporting files for the regulator. * Alert monitoring dashboards, timeliness indicators, and risk maps. * Functional documentation, technical recommendations for IT, and analysis reports. Profile sought 🔎 * **Education:** Master's degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school or a specialized Master's in Finance/Data. * **Experience:** **Minimum 8 years of experience** in Data Analysis applied to financial markets (Front Office and/or Risk environment). * **Business Expertise:** In-depth mastery of market activities, reconciliation mechanisms, and regulations on **market abuse (MAR)**. * **Technical Skills:** Advanced mastery of **Python**, **SQL**, and **Excel** for processing and modeling complex data. * **Soft Skills:** Excellent analytical skills, assertive posture to reassure management, leadership, and interpersonal skills to challenge IT and business teams. * **Languages:** Fluent English (international environment).
