Job Description

As an Aircraft Mechanical Repair Technician, you will work in this department with various types of metals and plastics on aircraft components. You will work according to the available regulations and work instructions, which ensure that everything complies with military aviation requirements. You will choose the prescribed methods for processing according to technical instructions and check them at the start of work. You will also prepare materials and tools. Sometimes you will make proposals for special aids, such as special tooling, to better perform your work. You will use various machining and non-machining repair techniques to work precisely on materials such as steel, aluminum, and plastic. Within this function, a computer-controlled engraving machine is also used.

Outside the workshop, you will perform specialized work at various Defense locations. This may include installing parts such as bushings and bearings, or precision work with various hand tools/machines. You will discuss problems with the 1st Technician and the Coordinator. You will record your work in a computer system, thereby contributing to the maintenance of the Air Force's flying weapon systems.

You will ensure that your work is always of good quality, you will also maintain your tools and work safely. You will also ensure the safe use and disposal of operating materials. If necessary, you will check if procedures can be improved and discuss this with the 1st Technician. You will undergo "On the Job" training within the department during your work activities to acquire all the specific necessary skills.

• You have an MBO-3 diploma in a technical field such as aircraft maintenance or mechanical engineering.;

In addition to your salary, you will receive an Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB consists of money (16.33% of your gross annual salary) and time.
