Vision Rehabilitation Assistant

As a Vision Rehabilitation Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to helping individuals who are blind or partially sighted to achieve their goals and to live independently. Your responsibilities will include: • Providing rehabilitation services to clients, including training and support to develop or restore activities of daily living skills; • Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans; • Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and goals; • Developing and implementing strategies to promote client independence and self-esteem; • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of client progress and services provided; • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills; • Working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines; • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field); • Completion of a Vision Rehabilitation Assistant training program or equivalent experience; • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work effectively in a team environment; • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures; • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines; • Ability to travel to various locations across the country. • Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan and generous paid time off. • Opportunities for professional development and advancement. • A dynamic and supportive work environment. • A chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who are blind or partially sighted.
