Role: Video Editor - Bengali Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor proficient in Bengali to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing raw video footage into compelling and engaging content that aligns with our political messaging and campaign objectives. This role requires creativity, technical expertise in video editing software, and a deep understanding of the political landscape in India, with a particular focus on Bengali-speaking regions. Key Responsibilities: - Edit raw video footage for various platforms including social media, television, and internal communications. - Assemble raw footage into a cohesive narrative, ensuring smooth transitions, appropriate pacing, and engaging storytelling. - Select and insert music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the video content. - Color correct and grade footage to achieve a consistent and professional look. - Add graphics, titles, lower thirds, and other visual elements as required. - Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines and political messaging standards. - Collaborate with the content creation team, political strategists, and campaign managers to understand project requirements and objectives. - Manage and organize video assets, project files, and archives. - Stay updated with the latest video editing trends, techniques, and technologies. - Adapt content for different platforms and audience segments. - Deliver high-quality edited videos within tight deadlines. - Proficiency in translating and incorporating Bengali language elements into video content. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Video Editor or in a similar role. - Strong portfolio showcasing a range of video editing projects. - Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar. - Excellent understanding of video production, post-production, and storytelling techniques. - Familiarity with graphic design principles and motion graphics is a plus. - Knowledge of audio editing and sound design. - Excellent understanding of the Indian political landscape and current affairs, particularly in West Bengal and other Bengali-speaking regions. - Fluency in Bengali (written and spoken) is essential. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. - Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience will be considered.
