What you’ll need to succeed as a Vice President of Operations, Mexico at XPO The Vice President of Operations, Mexico is responsible for owning, growing, and scaling the company’s Mexico–U.S. transborder business. This executive leader owns the strategy, partner ecosystem, regulatory compliance, and end-to-end sales and relationship with Operations required to build a compliant, profitable, and scalable cross-border LTL freight solution. This role is highly hands-on and combines product development, process improvement, and people management skills to drive growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will have experience in the logistics or transportation industry, preferably with knowledge of Mexico’s regulations and customs procedures. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for XPO’s Mexico–U.S. transborder business, including identifying opportunities for growth and improving operational efficiency. • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory agencies. • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards in Mexico and the United States. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements that drive cost savings and increase productivity. • Providing leadership and guidance to a team of operations professionals, focusing on employee development, performance management, and succession planning. • Analyzing data and metrics to measure business performance and make informed decisions about resource allocation and strategic direction. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in logistics and transportation to continuously improve the company’s offerings and competitiveness. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, and at least 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
