OPPORTUNITY As part of its continued growth, Fengate is seeking a skilled Vice President of Investments & Capital Formation to join the team in a fundraising role. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with experience raising capital in private markets and ideally, has existing Canadian institutional investor relationships in the real estate space. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and make an immediate impact. The successful candidate will adapt quickly to the Fengate culture and be able to hit the ground running. RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Managing Director, Capital Formation, the successful candidate will be responsible for: * Executing Fengate’s capital formation strategy. * Leading all aspects of fundraising including the preparation of marketing materials and investor presentations, responding to due diligence requests, and negotiating fund and managed account agreements. * Developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, consultants, and other stakeholders. * Identifying and pursuing new investment and fundraising opportunities. * Collaborating with the Investments team to support the development and launch of new investment strategies and products. * Representing Fengate at industry events and conferences. * Maintaining a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends. * Contributing to the overall success of the Capital Formation team. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in a related field. * Minimum of 8 years of experience in capital formation, investor relations, or a related field, preferably within the real estate or infrastructure sectors. * Proven track record of raising capital from institutional investors. * Strong understanding of private markets, including real estate and infrastructure. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Experience with fund structuring and legal documentation. * Existing relationships with Canadian institutional investors preferred. * Series 7 or 63 license is an asset.
