Vice President, Application Manager (Cross-border payments)

Job Summary: The Application Manager (Cross-Border Payments) is responsible for the overall management of applications supporting the MUFG cross-border payments business. This includes responsibility for application strategy, portfolio management, business relationship management, and managing the application development and support teams. The Application Manager will partner with key business stakeholders to understand their business needs and define and execute the application roadmap. Major Responsibilities: * Application Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and maintain the application strategy and roadmap for cross-border payments applications. This includes assessing the current state of the application portfolio, identifying opportunities for improvement, and defining the future state. * Portfolio Management: Manage the application portfolio, including prioritization of projects and initiatives, budget management, and resource allocation. * Business Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, including understanding their business needs and ensuring that the applications meet their requirements. * Application Development & Support: Manage the application development and support teams, including overseeing the development, testing, and implementation of new applications and enhancements to existing applications. * Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, including negotiating contracts, managing performance, and ensuring that vendors meet their obligations. * Risk Management: Ensure that applications are compliant with all applicable regulations and policies, and that risks are appropriately managed. * Budget Management: Manage the application budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on expenses. * Performance Management: Manage the performance of the application development and support teams, including setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews. Qualifications: * 10+ years of experience in application management, with a focus on cross-border payments applications. * Strong understanding of cross-border payments business processes and technologies. * Experience with application development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. * Experience with application development and support tools and technologies. * Strong leadership and management skills. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders. * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
