Vice President, AML Surveillance Operations, Legal Compliance & Secretariat

Job Purpose The Head of AML Surveillance Operations position is a holistic role covering various aspects of AML/CFT transaction monitoring and reporting, ensure compliance with the regulatory and reporting aspects of FIU-IND and RBI KYC Directions. The candidate will independently manage the Bank’s AML/CFT Transaction Surveillance unit and report to the Senior Vice President, Head of AML/KYC and Transaction Surveillance. Key Responsibilities Lead and strengthen the Bank’s Transaction Surveillance unit by developing and implementing effective strategies for monitoring and reporting suspicious transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Collaborate with various stakeholders including Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of AML/CFT transaction surveillance activities. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, law enforcement agencies, and industry partners. Provide expert guidance and support to the Bank’s Transaction Surveillance team on AML/CFT transaction monitoring and reporting best practices. Ensure that all AML/CFT transaction surveillance activities are conducted in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Bank’s products, services, and customer base to effectively identify and report suspicious transactions. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with AML/CFT transaction surveillance activities. Ensure that all AML/CFT transaction surveillance reports are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner. Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of AML/CFT transaction surveillance activities and any issues or concerns that may arise. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to AML/CFT transaction surveillance. Ensure that all AML/CFT transaction surveillance activities are conducted in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Law, Finance, or Business Administration. At least 8 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a compliance or risk management role. Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations and reporting requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong leadership and management skills. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
