Have you (almost) completed your VeVa Logistics level 2 training? Are you now looking for a position in the Armed Forces that aligns with it? As a Soldier Logistics Supply & Transport (B&T) in the Army, you are part of a unit that is responsible for the storage and transport of materiel and consumables.

What you will do

The Logistics Service is responsible for food, fuel, and ammunition. They repair materiel and equipment, provide medical care, and manage administration. Supply and Transport also fall under the Logistics Service. This unit is involved in the storage, management, transport, and distribution of all kinds of goods and materiel.

Please note: There are multiple induction dates (start dates) per year. The induction date you are eligible for will be determined later. This depends on, among other things, the results of the Psychological Examination, the Medical Examination, and the security investigation. As soon as all parts of the application process have been successfully completed, your start date will be discussed and confirmed with you.

Where you will work

You will work at a unit of the 13 Light Brigade in Oirschot, 43 Mechanized Brigade in Havelte, or at the Operational Support Command Land (OOCL) (multiple locations across the country).

Upon employment, you will first follow the Basic Training Royal Netherlands Army (BOKL) in Oirschot or Assen. After completion, you will start with the job-specific training at the Logistics Training and Education Centre in Soesterberg. If you do not yet have a driver's license, you will additionally follow the driving training at the Driving Training and Education Centre in Oirschot. The training takes approximately 10 months in total.

As a Soldier, you will participate in various exercises. Furthermore, you must take into account that, like every Soldier, you may be deployed abroad.

Your starting salary depends on your age, educational level, and experience. As your knowledge and experience increase, your salary will grow with you. In addition to your salary, as a soldier, you also receive various structural and incidental allowances. The salaries mentioned on werkenbijdefensie.nl already include the VEB allowance. During your service obligation (including your initial training), you accrue an annual (gross) engagement premium/bonus in addition to your salary. This will be paid out at the end of your service obligation, unless you wish to receive an advance payment during your service.

With a full-time employment contract, you are entitled to 23-30 vacation days per year, depending on your age. Do you have days left over? Under certain conditions, you can carry them over to the next year.

After a few years, you will become a corporal and will be given increasing responsibilities.
