Then the position of reservist in the National Reserve Corps Infantry Guarding Securing is the perfect solution! Sounds like an ideal combination? Then read on quickly!

What you will do

As a Reservist with the Infantry Guarding Securing, you can be deployed for guarding and security during emergencies in your immediate living environment. You can also be deployed to provide assistance in maintaining public order or in providing aid, such as in case of floods or forest fires. Any deployment abroad will only happen with your consent.

Before you start, you will follow the General Reservists Basic Training at one of the military training centers in the Netherlands (2 weeks). After that, you can progress to a leadership position as a non-commissioned officer or officer, provided you meet the requirements for that position.

PLUS POINTS OF THIS FUNCTION

• Salary: in addition to your hourly wage, you will receive a holiday allowance, year-end bonus, and pension accrual proportional to the number of hours worked. You will also receive travel expenses on a duty travel basis.
• Work atmosphere: nowhere will you be part of such a close-knit team of colleagues as at Defense.
• Challenge: you will be deployed to increase flexibility, deployability, operational continuity, and to handle peak loads.

As an Infantry Guarding Securing soldier, you perform your work alongside your civilian job or studies. It is therefore a part-time job based on a 0-hour contract. You will receive an annual schedule in advance so that you can align your activities well with your work or studies and your home situation. On average, it will cost you as a soldier around 300 hours per year, spread over two training evenings and one or two Saturdays per month. In addition, you will have a multi-day exercise approximately two to three times a year, from Thursday or Friday to Saturday. Other deployments or support will cost you approximately 60 hours per year and can take place on weekdays. In the first year, you will also follow the General Military Training Reservists Basic (ARB). This lasts two weeks, but you will be home on weekends.

A job with the Natres is voluntary, but certainly not without commitment! So consider carefully whether this is feasible for you.

Where you will work

You will work at one of the three Infantry Guarding Securing battalions. If you have a preference for a unit, you can indicate this in your application. We will try to take this into account. At the moment, there are only placement opportunities at the following locations:

• A-company Assen (outposts Leeuwarden and Zoutkamp (=Lauwersmeer)
• B-company Assen (outpost Havelte)
• C-company Wezep (outposts Havelte and Bathmen)
• D-company Amersfoort

• F-company Enschede (outpost Eibergen)

• C-company Badhoevedorp
• E-company Stroe

Your starting salary depends on your age, education level, and experience. As your knowledge and experience increase, your salary will also grow with you.
