Have you (almost) completed your VeVa training in Aircraft Maintenance Technology, level 3 or level 4? Are you a technical all-rounder? Someone who can check and repair anything that rotates, moves, sucks, jumps, or ticks? And who would prefer to work in a close-knit team and a high-tech environment. What you will do
As a Non-Commissioned Officer Technical Service Aircraft Technology, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the most diverse systems of the NH-90NFH. Your daily work consists of performing scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting, for example, the carbon fibre airframe, the RTM322 Turbo-Mecca turboshaft engines for propulsion, and the hydraulic support systems for the fly-by-wire control of the most advanced military helicopter in the world. The primary operational area of the NH-90NFH is, of course, from Navy ships. As a helicopter maintenance mechanic, you will become part of the ship's crew from that moment on.
Please note: There are multiple intake dates (start dates) per year. The intake date for which you are eligible will only be determined later. This depends, among other things, on the outcome of the Psychological Assessment, the Medical Examination, and the Security Screening. As soon as all parts of the application process have been successfully completed, the start date will be discussed and confirmed with you.
Where you will work
You will work on board a Navy ship or at a military airbase.
After entering service, you will first follow the basic military training: the maritime military formation, where you will learn, among other things, all general ship tasks. After completing the initial training, you will follow the type-specific NH-90NFH training for B1.3 Technician at the Maritiem Vliegkamp De Kooy in Den Helder. After passing the skills test, you will receive an official Military Aircraft Maintenance Certificate B1.3 from the Military Aviation Authority, fully compliant with Part-66.
As a Military member, you will participate in various exercises. Additionally, you must take into account that, like any Military member, you may be deployed.

During your service obligation (including your initial training), you will accrue an annual (gross) appointment premium/bonus in addition to your salary. This will be paid out at the end of your service obligation, unless you wish to receive an advance payment in the meantime.
With a full-time contract, you are entitled to 23-30 days of leave per year, depending on your age. Do you have days left over? Then you can carry them over to the next year under certain conditions.

Your profile We will train you Defence training Defence training Your careerAs a Non-Commissioned Officer Technical Service Aircraft Technology (corporal), you will work alternately on board a Navy ship and at a military airbase.
As you gain more experience, you will become a supervisor of a team of mechanics in addition to being a mechanic.
As an older non-commissioned officer, you will primarily be involved with work distribution and personnel care.
