VeVa Officer Operational Service Connections

Introtekst Have you completed your VeVa training at Maritiem level 3 (almost)? Does a job as an ICT'er on board a naval ship interest you? As an Officer Connections with the Operational Service of the Royal Navy, you will receive training to become a 'connecter': a military person responsible for radio and network connections. This is what you'll do: As an Officer Connections, you will ensure communication with ships, aircraft, submarines, marine units and the shore. For this, you will be trained in the use of various communication systems, including radios, satellite communications and data networks. You will also learn to operate and maintain these systems, as well as troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of all communication systems and data transmitted through them. This requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. You will also work closely with other military personnel and civilians to ensure seamless communication and coordination during operations. And finally, you will have the opportunity to specialize in a specific area of interest, such as network management or cybersecurity.
