Job description
Introduction
Have you (almost) completed your VeVa Logistics level 3 training? And are you now looking for a position within the Defense organization that aligns with it? As a Logistics Non-Commissioned Officer for Military Administration, you will lead the administrative team of an Army unit. A desk job? Certainly, but you will also participate in exercises and deployments.
What you will do
The Logistics Service provides support in various areas. This can include the maintenance and repair of materiel and equipment, managing administration, and providing medical care.
As a Non-Commissioned Officer Logistics Military Administration (MA'er), you will work as a support staff for the commander, ensuring they are in control of HR and employer responsibilities, finances, operations, secretarial work, etc. You will achieve this by preparing and/or executing various tasks. You are a specialist in your own field and a service provider, capable of offering solicited and unsolicited advice to superiors. In addition to being a team player, you are expected to be highly independent, take initiative, and act proactively. Besides supporting the commander, the MA'er can also be deployed for general military tasks, such as acting as an instructor for general military (basic) skills and operating in the command post of your unit. A desk job? Certainly, but you will also participate in exercises and deployments.
Please note: There are multiple intake moments (start dates) throughout the year. The intake date for which you are eligible will be determined later. This depends, among other things, on the results of the Psychological Examination, the Medical Examination, and the Security Screening. As soon as all parts of the application process have been successfully completed, the start date will be discussed and confirmed with you.
Where you will work
You will work within the command group of an (independent) company within one of the Army units in the country.
Upon joining, you will first complete the Non-Commissioned Officer training at the Royal Military School in Ermelo, where you will learn all basic military skills. After completion, you will start the vocational training at the Defense Training and Education Center Logistics in Soesterberg. If you do not yet possess a driver's license, you will additionally follow driver training at the Training and Education Center Driving in Oirschot.
As a Military member, you will participate in various exercises. Furthermore, you must take into account that, like every Military member, you may be deployed.
Your starting salary depends on your age, educational level, and experience. As your knowledge and experience increase, your salary will also grow. In addition to your salary, as a military member, you will receive various structural and incidental allowances. The salaries mentioned on werkenbijdefensie.nl already include the VEB allowance. More information
During your term of service (including your initial training), you will accrue an annual (gross) appointment premium/bonus, in addition to your salary. This will be paid out at the end of your term of service, unless you wish to receive an advance payment in the meantime.
With a full-time employment, you are entitled to 23-30 days of leave per year, depending on your age. Do you have days left over? Under certain conditions, you can carry them over to the following year.
Don't have a driver's license yet? Get it for free at Defensie! We are happy to help you move forward, and not just when it comes to your career. If you come to work for the Navy, Army, Air Force, or Royal Marechaussee, you can therefore obtain your driver's license B at our expense. More information about driver's licenses at Defensie.
