Veterinary Export Controller (w/m/d)

With effect from January 1st, 2022, the Federal Office for Consumer Protection (BAVG) has taken up its operational activities. To ensure optimal consumer protection, the modern, future-oriented, and service-oriented authority makes a significant contribution in the area of food and veterinary controls. For this purpose, we are looking for a Veterinary Export Controller to join our team. The tasks include: • Developing and implementing export control measures for animal products, • Coordinating with other authorities and stakeholders, • Conducting risk assessments and evaluating the effectiveness of measures, • Providing expert advice and support to the competent authorities, • Maintaining and updating databases and documentation. The ideal candidate should have: • A degree in veterinary medicine or a related field, • Several years of experience in the field of animal health, food safety, or veterinary controls, • Excellent knowledge of export control regulations and procedures, • Strong analytical and communication skills, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
