Jij als verpleegkundige raadpleging pneumologie/bronchoscopieAs a nursing consultant, you're a key figure in the diagnostic and care process of patients with respiratory problems. In this role, you're responsible for performing medical-technical examinations and treatments so that patients can be quickly and accurately diagnosed and treated by the relevant doctor.
You work closely together with doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals from both within and outside the hospital. In this multidisciplinary collaboration, your strong communication skills, quality-oriented approach, empathetic nature, and stress resilience will be invaluable.
TakenpakketYour task package looks like this:
- You perform nursing and medical procedures on ambulatory and hospitalized patients, such as lung function tests, bronchial provocation tests, skin tests, injections, and ergospirometry.
- You're responsible for preparing, performing/begeleiding, and follow-up care of bronchoscopy procedures such as bronchoscopy, pleural puncture, lymph node biopsy, and EBUS. You also provide the necessary information to the patient.
- You support the admission and discharge of patients in the sleep center.
- You analyze polysomnographic examinations.
- You help with starting CPAP therapy and reading CPAP devices.
- You ensure the maintenance and follow-up of medical equipment.
- You perform administrative tasks such as calling patients or scheduling bronchoscopy procedures.
- In your daily work, you combine technical expertise with empathetic and patient-centered handling. By careful observation, clear communication, and teamwork within the team, you actively contribute to high-quality, safe, and continuous care.
- You have an HBO5 or bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Experience in pneumology/lung function/sleep center is a big plus, but not a must.
- You're willing to work on weekdays in shifts (morning, afternoon, and night shifts). Additionally, you're willing to work a few times a year on Saturday mornings.
- Thanks to your strong communication skills and your high team player-mentality, you can work excellently in a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals.

- You work nauwkeurig, with an eye for detail.
- Due to your stressbestendigheid, you can easily switch between different tasks without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Tewerkstellingspercentage: part-time/full-time (negotiable).
- Location of employment: Genk, occasionally also Lanaken.
- Market-conform salary according to IFIC14 or 14b based on relevant work experience.
