In our mega-sized branches, we offer a gigantic selection of items. We have everything you need for every project. And to provide our customers with honest, reliable, and expert advice, we need you. You will advise our customers so they can get started with their impressive projects.

Your tasks as a Sales Employee Plumbing:

• You advise customers on our assortment. From wall-hung toilets to traps and thermostatic faucets.
• You help customers find the right products.
• You order special or custom-made items through our Onlineshop.
• You ensure that your department looks sharp and that the shelves are full.

Do you already have professional knowledge? That's a bonus. Don't you? Then we will train you. What counts is your hands-on mentality.

So, a lot of variety and diversity. You will also continue to learn. From colleagues, supplier training, or vocational training. And do you want to grow? Then there are plenty of opportunities. We build your future together.

What do you bring to the table?

• You bring 1 year of experience in a comparable role.
• Have you worked in retail or a DIY store? Even better!
• You have knowledge of plumbing or are eager to delve into it.
• You enjoy learning everything, absolutely everything about our assortment.
• You have a smooth talk.
• You are a real go-getter; working evenings and/or weekends is not a problem for you.

What do you get from us?

• A gross salary between € 2,074 and € 2,800 (scale 4) per month (based on 38 hours), depending on your relevant work experience and age. The mentioned salary applies from 20 years old. If you are younger, the corresponding youth wage applies: www.werkenbijhornbach.nl/jeugdlonen.
• A comprehensive training program so you become THE specialist in the field of plumbing.
• A contract for 8 months for a fixed number of hours per week. After that, we will continue, that's what we're aiming for!
• 24 days per year to celebrate your holidays.
• A good result for HORNBACH? Then also a nice bonus, every quarter.
• Travel expenses reimbursement. From 10 kilometers one way, you will receive a reimbursement. We will then pay your 2nd class public transport costs, or €0.23 per kilometer if you come by car, with a maximum of 40 kilometers per day.
• An extensive onboarding period. And then plenty of attention for your development, with (vocational) training and courses.
• A well-arranged pension. We pay 2/3 of the premium, you pay the rest.

Can I grow within a sales role?

Yes, absolutely. Not only can you fully develop yourself within your own role, but you can also grow. For example, to a role like Team Leader or Store Manager. Of course, you can also grow broadly, for example, to another sales department. We offer various training programs and courses to make this possible, such as the DIY Vocational Training where you learn everything, absolutely everything, about topics like electricity and lighting or finishing materials. Or training in sales conversations or a course to become a Team Leader.

What are the working hours?

Your working hours are flexible. We create your schedule together, and you receive it four weeks in advance.

HORNBACH is open from Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 21:00. On Saturdays, most branches are open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (except Alblasserdam: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM).

On Sundays, most branches are open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, Groningen, Apeldoorn, Enschede, and Nijmegen are open from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. And Alblasserdam is closed on Sundays.
