Process Engineer (m/w)

To this end, relationships are built with partners and license holders on the entire globe.

We are looking for a Process Engineer for our Ammonia Project.

Tasks

1. 1. Process Development & Optimization

• Design and calculation of ammonia process plants
• Thermodynamic and fluid dynamic design (e.g. pressure, temperature, mass flow rates)
• Simulation of processes (e.g. Aspen, DWSIM or comparable tools)
• Optimization of heat exchangers, reactors, absorption/desorption systems
• Development of NH3 storage and recovery systems

1. 2. Plant Planning & Project Support

• Creation of R&I flowcharts (P&ID)
• Selection of suitable materials (corrosion resistance against NH3)
• Participation in approval procedures
• Collaboration with construction, electrical engineering and automation
• Support during commissioning

1. 3. Safety & Compliance

• Development of safety concepts (ATEX, pressure equipment directive, AwSV etc.)
• HAZOP analyses
• Evaluation of leakage scenarios
• Emergency and risk assessment
• Training of employees in safe handling with ammonia

1. 4. Research & Innovation

• Further development of NH3-based energy systems
• Investigation of alternative storage materials or absorption materials
• Patent research and participation in patent submissions

Responsibility Area

• Techincal responsibility for ammonia processes
• Dokumentation and validation
• Support of the management in strategic technology decisions
• Participation in investment decisions

Qualification

Fachliche Anforderungen

• Completed studies in:

• Process Engineering

• Chemical Engineering

• Chemical Technology

• Energy Technology (with a process engineering focus)

• Fundamental knowledge in:

• Thermodynamics

• Matter and heat transfer

• Pressure and reaction technology

• Ammonia synthesis, storage or use

• Experience with:

• PRESSURE VESSELS

• GAS FLUORINATION

• Absorption/desorption processes

• Safety requirements for toxic gases

• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g. BetrSichV, TRGS, DIN, EN)
