VEHICLE FUNCTION OWNER

Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION Ensure the elicitation and the proper addressing of vehicle functional requirements by applying Requirements Engineering & MBSE (Model Based System Engineering) principles to guarantee robust systems design, integration and optimization phases ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Understand stakeholder requirements Analyze, decompose and detail all activities required to satisfy a given program content Realize Functional Requirements Engineering roll-out applying Systems Engineering principles Develop, maintain and manage functional requirements and associated artifacts in the relevant tools (e.g. DOORs, Polarion, etc.) Define and lead the technical discussions with relevant stakeholders (e.g. System Engineering, ECU Architects, Software Developers, etc.) in order to ensure requirements completeness and feasibility Develop and execute verification and validation plans and associated tests cases to ensure requirements are met, and report and track defects (e.g. DOORS, Jira, etc.) Support of system integration and system test activities Support the creation of new function development and improvements (including change management) Ensure requirement traceability throughout the development lifecycle Support of technical risk analysis and management Provide regular reports on progress, open issues and risks Maintain technical documentation to ensure proper knowledge sharing and traceability Support functional safety activities and related audits Support the creation and maintenance of functional and system architecture Support the creation and maintenance of system models (e.g. using modeling tools like Enterprise Architect) Create and maintain functional specifications Support of continuous improvement activities QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Automotive, or related) 3+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering, vehicle function development, or related fields Experience in requirements management tools (e.g. IBM DOORS, Polarion, etc.) Experience with system modeling tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect) Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) Experience in vehicle development processes and associated methodologies (e.g. V-model) Good understanding of embedded systems and software development processes Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g. ISO26262) is a plus Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively BENEFITS Competitive salary Comprehensive health insurance Paid time off Professional development opportunities
