We're looking for someone with a strong design understanding who is willing to translate complex GovTech challenges into intuitive and user-friendly design solutions. Tasks

As UX/UI Designer at DEMOS, you develop intuitive, functional, and appealing solutions for challenging and complex requirements in an agile, interdisciplinary team. You prioritize user experience and work continuously with developers, product management, and customer care. You have a decisive influence on the design and further development of a platform with social impact.

• Translation of conceptual ideas into solutions with added value for users
• Development, presentation, and validation of intuitive user flows and interactions with mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity screens
• Design feedback sessions in the team, with developers and product owner
• Accompanying the developer team with design expertise, UX-writing, and micro-copy support
• Further development and governance of our existing design system and Figma component library
• Participation in preparing, conducting, and evaluating user tests and qualitative interviews
• Designing the website and landing pages

Qualification

• You like to get to the bottom of problems, question the status quo, and can translate complex requirements into functional and user-friendly interfaces
• You have a strong understanding of design fundamentals as well as principles and best practices of interaction design
• You are able to see new UI patterns in the context of existing systems and weigh implications of new features against the sustainability of long-term solutions
• You have a good eye for details and the big picture
• You can justify design decisions and document them comprehensibly
• You have very good German and good English skills in writing and speaking
• The technical aspects and implications of design for web platforms/browsers are not foreign to you
• Your experience with design and prototyping tools like Figma or Sketch is an advantage
• Idealistically, you have knowledge of frontend development (HTML, CSS) and agile work experience
