Evaluate creditworthiness, income, collateral, and loan-to-value ratios. Make independent decisions on loan acceptance and associated risk. Provide guidance to junior underwriters. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Maintain quality control standards. Communicate effectively with loan officers and other stakeholders. Stay updated on industry changes and regulatory updates. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in US mortgage underwriting. At least 1 year of live underwriting experience. Strong understanding of US mortgage guidelines and regulations. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
