Job description
Uptime Engineer - Role Overview SMT GB is looking for experienced Engineers who are ready to advance their career in a role that moves away from the tools and into a new challenge Working as a desk based Uptime Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the operational efficiency of equipment. You will work closely with customers to ensure their machinery is performing at optimal levels, minimizing downtime, and maximizing productivity. This is a depot based role and can be based in any of our UK depots. As a Uptime Engineer, you will be expected to work independently, with minimal supervision, and be able to prioritize your own workload. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and that any issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner. You will also be expected to work closely with other departments, such as the maintenance team, to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and that any issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and be able to work with minimal supervision. You will also be expected to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to prioritize your own workload. The role will involve working with a variety of equipment, including but not limited to, pumps, compressors, and generators. You will also be expected to be able to work in a team environment, and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
